Harvest has commenced in style. In 5 days we have done 21% of the area and crops are yielding well. The Xerion on the clamp has now arrived and is doing a superb job alongside the piste basher. Won't be long and we will be sheeting up clamp 1 and clamp 2 is about a third full. A settled forecast into next week is meaning harvesting is going well without too many issues.

Maize Drilling 2014

Maize drilling has commenced and this year we have a second drill to ease the pressure. Soil temperatures are ideal and a settled forecast means we have managed to get off to a flying start. Following a very interesting and successful growers meeting where Simon Draper from the Maize Growers presented to the group several changes have subsequently been made in particular with DAP placement. So far we have managed to drill 21% of the area in 3 days. Seed bed conditions have been good, some people are rolling post drilling.
